Home Equity Checklist

This list provides the information and documents you will need to bring to your loan application appointment.

 Standard Documents (Purchase or Refinance)

  • Pay stubs covering the last 30 days
  • Full Tax Returns and W-2’s for the last 2 years
  • Credit Union/Bank Statements for the past 2 months
  • Retirement and Investment accounts statements covering the past 3 months
  • Warranty Deed
  • Owners Title Policy
  • Survey
  • Homeowners Insurance Policy
  • Current Property Tax Bill
  • Mortgage Statement
  • Copies of bills you intend to pay off (if applicable)

Miscellaneous Items (If Applicable)

  • Divorce documents including, Petition, Final Decree, Settlement Agreement
  • Documented child support payments for the last 12 months (only if you want the income to be considered)
  • Bankruptcy documents including Petition and Final Discharge with a letter of explanation regarding the bankruptcy
  • If self-employed or commissioned, complete tax returns covering the past 2 years
  • Corporate tax returns for the past 2 years if your business has been incorporated
  • Year-to-date financial statements to include Profit & Loss Statement and Balance Sheet
  • Letter of explanation regarding derogatory credit
